The unique design of the Schwinn 520 combines the ergonomic seat of a recumbent bike with the striding motion of an elliptical trainer to work more muscles than a traditional exercise bike, giving you a more effective workout.
The Schwinn 520 uses its own unique Airdyne fan system, usually found on Schwinn’s Airdyne bikes, which works on wind resistance. The great thing about these air/fan systems is that they offer unlimited resistance levels, together with a smooth action.
The seat on the Schwinn 520 is ergonomically designed for good posture and comfort. It features a comfortable padded seat with a contoured back for support, plus ventilation to help keep you cool.
In addition, the Schwinn 520 features an easy to use and easy to read computer display which offers 3 workout programs and shows your progress with a scrolling display.
Motivational tip: 30 minutes on an elliptical trainer could burn approx. 310 calories for women and 378 calories for men, depending on the intensity of the workout.

P.D.:
“The Schwinn 520 is great for rehabilitation and exercise. I had a knee replacement 2 years ago and this recumbent elliptical trainer is the best piece of exercise equipment I have used. The seat is comfortable and gives good support, making it easy to exercise for longer lengths of time. I’m really pleased.”
V.H.:
“I found the Schwinn 520 Recumbent Elliptical Trainer to be easy to use. It’s easy on my knees and ankles and feet. I just love it! I used to have a traditional elliptical machine that you stand up on but I could never do much on it due to pain in my feet. This recumbent elliptical is a really good idea.”
D.S.:
“My husband put this recumbent elliptical trainer together in just under 1 hour. I’ve had back surgery and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the seat on the Schwinn 520 is a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be. The console display is easy to read. The elliptical action is very smooth and I can make it as challenging as I want it to be. I’m happy!”
N.B. It’s advisable to consult your doctor or health care professional if you are new to exercise or if you have any concerns regarding your health and fitness regime.
