Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002C versus SF-B1002 Indoor Cycle Spin Bikes, Compared

The Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002C and SF-B1002 are both well-built indoor cycles that simulate the feel of an outdoor road bike for an authentic cycling workout in the comfort of your own home.

Built with a heavy-duty steel frame, both the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002C and SF-B1002 indoor cycles utilize a heavy 49 lb flywheel for consistent momentum together with an adjustable resistance system with press-down braking system that puts you in control.  The resistance is easy to adjust via a simple tension control knob – just twist the knob to the right to increase the resistance or to the left to decrease it.

The only difference between the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002C and the SF-B1002 bikes comes down to the drive mechanism, with the SF-B1002C having a chain drive while the SF-B1002 has a belt drive.  Which drive system you choose comes down to personal preference, with some people preferring the chain drive of a traditional outdoor bike whereas other people prefer the belt drive system as it operates more smoothly and quietly and doesn’t need the maintenance (like oiling) that a chain requires.

Both spin bikes are solidly built and you can sit or stand to cycle as you would on a traditional outdoor bike to simulate different terrains like hill climbing.

Both bikes also feature a side-mounted water bottle holder so you can keep hydrated as you cycle.

Both the Sunny SF-B1002C and SF-B1002 feature a fully adjustable seat that can be adjusted both up/down and fore/aft for a custom fit.  The racing-style handlebars can be adjusted up and down and have multiple hand positions so each rider can find their most comfortable riding position.  Each of these spin bikes allows for a maximum user weight capacity of 275 lbs.

Motivational tip:  Just a 30 minute cycle ride could burn approx. between 207-345 calories for women, or 252-420 calories for men, depending on the intensity of the cycling.

Let’s take a closer look at the differences and similarities in detail between the Sunny Health & Fitness SF-B1002C and SF-B1002 to help you decide on which is the best spin bike for you:
