Cycling is a great way to enjoy the fresh air outdoors, get fit and burn calories.  It’s important not to neglect your safety when it comes to cycling – you need to ensure your bicycle and any related kit meets the required safety standards and is in good working order.  Regularly checking your lights, tires, brakes, gears, handlebars and other components should become routine before going out on a cycle ride, as well as wearing a correctly-fitting helmet to protect your head while cycling in case of a fall.
