The Schwinn Men’s Volare 1300 700C Drop Bar Road Bike is the more recent updated model of the Schwinn Prelude.  Lightweight and responsive, the Schwinn Volare 1300 Road Bike is perfect for both commuting, leisure cycling and working out to get fit.

Similar in specs to the Prelude (see differences in specs below), the Schwinn Volare Road Bike boasts a lightweight aluminium frame with a rigid fork for fast and agile cycling.

The Schwinn Volare features a Shimano 14-speed rear derailleur together with Shimano A050 shifters for smooth, quick and easy gear changing.  The SR Suntour alloy crank accommodates a wide gear range.

In addition, the Schwinn Volare features other lightweight but strong alloy components, including alloy rims (with front quick release) and alloy calliper road brakes for superb stopping power.

The Schwinn Volare is adjustable for different rider heights with a quick release saddle.

Motivational tip:  A 30 minute cycle ride can burn between 252-420 calories for men, depending on the intensity of the cycling.

See what customers who have bought the Schwinn Men’s Volare 1300 700C Drop Bar Road Bike have to say about it:

J.N.:
“Overall the Schwinn Men’s Volare Road Bike is a decent bike for a low price.  If you don’t need all the bells and whistles of a more expensive bike and are willing to put some time into tuning up the bike then this is a good entry level bike.  I use this bike for commuting and for endurance workouts.  It was easy to assemble the bike, though I did have to adjust the derailleur to get the shift into 7th gear and I also had to true the wheels.  I probably have to make adjustments more often than I would with a higher end bike but then this cost a lot less money.  So if you’re willing to tune up the bike from time to time, this is a good bike.”

F.S.:
“The Schwinn Men’s Volare 1300 Drop Bar Road Bike is exactly what I expected it to be.  It came well packaged and was easy to assemble with some minor adjustments necessary.   It’s great for exercise and commuting.  The bike rides very smoothly and quietly at all speeds.  Obviously you can’t compare a bike like this with a $1000+ bike.  I would recommend buying rim tape even if this model doesn’t need it, as it’s easy to put on and worth spending the few dollars for peace of mind.  In my mind, this bike is worth top marks! “

F.Y.:
“I read a lot of reviews before buying the Schwinn Volare.  As suggested by some reviewers, I did put rim tape on the rims and so far have not had any problems with flat tires.  The Volare is a very good bike for the money.  I really like it and would definitely recommend it.”
