“The Schwinn GTX 2.0 is a nice bike for paved bike paths. It arrived intact and assembling it was simple. However, I did find that the front wheel bearings were poorly adjusted so I dealt with that before installing otherwise the bearing would have been very short lived. The brakes were properly adjusted and the shifters index reasonably well. The brakes did take a little while to seat and become very effective. The paint finish looks smart and is well applied. The welds are visible but don’t have any spatter. Overall, this is a great bike for the price.”

It has satisfied all of my requirements, which included: all-weather bike, mountain tires that are fast enough to ride without slowing down, excellent brakes, low maintenance. This bike rides fast on ideal road and even goes through snow. I’ve only had 1 flat tire in the urban environment. Gearing is fine – just had to make some small adjustments to the barrel-adjuster for the rear derailleur.”
