The Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike is a good quality, straightforward, low-priced bike that is ideally suited for commuter cycling around town and the city.

The Takara Kabuto is sturdily built with a strong hand-crafted steel frame with horizontal dropouts.

The Takara Kabuto features a rear flip flop hub so you can change from a fixed gear to a standard freewheel single speed mode without the hassle of temperamental component adjustments.

The Kenda 700x32 tires that come with the Takara Kabuto are more substantial than traditional road bike tires and are therefore better capable of withstanding bumps in the roads.

The Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike is available in a choice of colors:  yellow/black or green/blue.  Two different frame sizes are available to better suit different rider heights:  54 cm or 57 cm frame size.

Motivational tip:  Cycling for 30 minutes can burn approx. 252-420 calories for men, depending on the intensity of the cycling.

See what customers who have bought the Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike have to say about it:

D.K.:
“I bought the Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike last summer and it gives an awesome ride.  I did have to tighten some of the bolts and fixtures on the bike before using it but it was very simple to do and didn’t take very long.  I’ve cycled with this bike over different terrains, smooth roads/paths, cracked/decaying pavements, grass/dirt tracks, and up and down hills.  Whilst this bike is not a mountain bike (bumps are more pronounced), it is better than the average road bike for city cycling.  I did replace the rim tapes for better ones that help to protect the inner tubes before I used this bike and as a consequence I’ve never had a flat tire and I’ve rarely had to adjust the tire pressure.  I don’t use the fixie mode, I keep it in the free-spinning set up, although it is fairly easy to change on this bike if I wanted to.  I use this bike to commute 16 miles a day during the week and for cycling around at the weekends.  It gives a really smooth ride for a low-priced bike without significant shock absorbers.  I’ve had lots of comments on how good this bike looks and how well it rides.  I would recommend it.”

C.B.:
“The Takara Kabuto Single Speed Road Bike is a great entry level bike at an even better price.  I used to have a 12-speed mountain bike before I bought this road bike.  I’m very pleased with my purchase and use this bike to get to College which is about 1 ½ miles away.  This bike gives a very smooth ride.  The brakes work well (just make sure you adjust them correctly when assembling it).  The seat feels comfortable once you get used to it.  It was easy to assemble (using a screwdriver and a set of allen wrenches). The bike is best suited for flat areas, but it can also handle inclines (just wears you out a bit more if you’re not used to it).  Overall, this bike is a great buy.”
