Benefits of Cycling


Cycling is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels and is a great way to improve your health and fitness levels.

Cycling outdoors is great for when the weather is fine, there’s nothing like the feel of the fresh air, it really is exhilarating.  But for those days when the weather is not so nice or the roads are busy, an indoor exercise bike is just as effective.  It doesn’t matter whether you choose an outdoor bicycle or an indoor exercise bike, you will get the same benefits from either of them.

Low-impact

Cycling is considered to be a very low-impact form of exercising.  This means that cycling on bicycles or indoor exercise bikes is more gentle on your knees and joints than many other forms of exercise, such as running or jogging, yet it can still give you a good workout. 

The reduced impact on your joints, ligaments and spine is due to the fact that your body weight is being supported entirely by the bike.
